Shasta Ramachandran

Student Representatives

Shasta Ramachandran is a senior in CC studying Physics and Math. He has conducted research in magnetism in the Columbia MSAE department, working on the anomalous Hall effect in ferromagnetic thin films in Professor William Bailey’s group. He has also worked as an REU student at the Ohio State University, studying models for 2D magnetism in Professor Nandini Trivedi’s group. When not doing physics or sleeping, Shasta can be found playing jazz and bluegrass, mentoring younger students, watching cooking shows, and befriending the dogs on campus.
